This isn’t a free pass for people’s bad behavior. Speak your truth when you need to, but don’t dwell. Recognize that nothing real can be diminished. No one, no words, no actions can actually diminish who you really are.
So many of us spend so much time waiting on a better moment than the one we’re in. We’ve convinced ourselves that we’ll finally be happy when that moment arrives.
As spiritual beings having a human experience, we often default to looking outside of ourselves for strength and for help. We go to the edge of greatness and stop because we’ve forgotten who we are.
There is a myth that when something is meant to be, when it is purposeful, it will align perfectly. It’s a lie.
No person, no job, no life situation has the power to take your peace unless you allow it.
For each of us, there will come a time when we find ourselves facing a challenge that leaves us feeling like we have no control over what’s going on in our lives.
Much has been said about the power of the word no, yet most of us still find ourselves unable to utter this word with the same ease that we possess when we say yes to something or someone.
If an eagle is raised among chickens and begins to act like a chicken, if he never learns to fly, eats whatever he can find on the ground instead of soaring above its prey and snatching up the cream of the crop, if he settles for less than what he is worth, it’s not because he stopped being an eagle, he simply forgot who he truly is.
Our purpose in this journey is simply to be. In every moment, to experience fully. That is why we’re here. Your happiness and your joy are not in the future. They are here in the now.
I often wonder how much happier we would be if we could only shut out the noise.
