For one reason or another, a lot of us struggle with the idea of Monday. It could be because of a toxic work environment, an unfulfilling career or even the stress and anxiety of managing your workload and expectations. In honor of National Thank God It’s Monday Day, here are some tried-and-true actionable steps to help you blast away those pesky Monday blues.
In the midst of doing and thinking, we often forget about just BEING.
THE AVERAGE PERSON HAS ABOUT 12,000 TO 60,000 THOUGHTS PER DAY. OF THOSE, 80% ARE NEGATIVE AND 95% ARE EXACTLY THE SAME REPETITIVE THOUGHTS AS THE DAY BEFORE.

That is insane. And if insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, it’s time to silence those thoughts and choose a different path.
We show up for work and its obligations; we show up for our bosses, partners, and friends; we pay our bills on time for the fear of being penalized but a lot of us put ourselves last. We postpone our dreams and our calling, thinking that we’ll get to it at some point in this lifetime. This ride called life is a one time experience. It’s time to be a little selfish — it’s time to choose yourself.
